Indian Creek

Indian Creek Village (Indian Creek Island) is an exclusive 300 acre Island directly west of Bal Harbour, just off of Biscayne Bay. This exclusive guard gated South Florida island is comprised of just over 2 dozen large luxury estate homes directly on the bay and water surrounding a world-renowned private country club and golf course.

The population of this private island was recently just 85 residents (2020 census), living in the 34 luxury homes on the island's 41 platted waterfront home sites. Many of the current homes are built on combined home sites. The majority of residents are not full time residents but are part-time residents who spend short periods of time just a few times a year at their Indian Creek home.

A very unique and sought after feature of Indian Creek Island is the high level of security that residents are afforded. This exclusive island village is unique among other similar sized luxury communities in having its own State of Florida sworn police force. The police force includes it's own 24/7 police boat patrol around the island. With a police force of 13 sworn officers to protect the 85 residents reported in the recent 2020 census, Indian Creek Island may be the most protected and secure incorporated municipality in the United States.

Indian Creek, Florida is currently the 8th highest income locale in the United States.

Indian Creek Village island is home to the ultra-exclusive Indian Creek Country Club. In addition to one of the oldest private club houses in South Florida, the club's golf course is widely considered to be Greater Miami's finest golf course. It occupies the entire interior of the island with just a few waterfront holes.

Prior to the 3 Indian Creek sale, the $38.4 million sale in the spring of 2012 of an Indian Creek Island mansion to Hedge Fund manager Edward Lampert held the record. A $60 million Faena House 2-floor condominium sale in 2015 now owns the overall Miami-Dade residential sales record.
